After a very successful run of seven years, Connected Communities has
closed its doors. This website will be kept alive to provide
information on how communities can get connected. Updates will be
few and far between, but much of the information should remain helpful.
For those wanting in-person assistance, we have three valuable contacts:
Mike Freeman, founder of Local Government Solutions Group in Ft.
Collins, Colorado, has many years of experience consulting on
telecommunications infrastructure for communities. He can be
reached at 970-419-4388 ext. 1 or MIKE at LGSG dot NET (address
disguised to reduce spam).

The Corporation for Education Network Initiatives in California (CENIC),
has developed a new community assessment guide that is based on the work
of Connected Communities and the Computer Systems Policy Project.
For a copy of the Guide go to www.cenic.org/guide/.
Be sure to read up on CENIC's Gigabit
or Bust Initiative!
Susan Estrada led the Gigabit or Bust project for CENIC. Now
she has her own program, First Mile. You can reach her at 760-510-8406
ext. 1# or SUSAN at CENIC dot ORG. Visit Susan's website - www.firstmile.us.
Seth Fearey is now working for Joint
Venture: Silicon Valley Network, where he is managing the Smart
Valley project, a continuation of the program he helped found in
1993. You can reach him at 408-938-1511.
To all our clients, thank you and keep up the great work!
